Since I was only at TBR for 10 weeks, I was determined to develop systems that could be replicated by the one-man marketing team after I left.
To do so, I created multiple guides and resources, such as lists of popular industry hashtags and industry thought leaders. I also designed templates that could be quickly edited to promote an upcoming webinar or article.
My first day on the job at Bentley was Commencement 2013. I had to learn the ropes as I went along - and quickly.
That weekend marked the first of many events I would eventually cover. I attended at least 1 event a month, live-tweeting quotes and images, answering questions and replying to tweets directed to Bentley, and curating photos and videos to use in additional content afterwards.
The best content is authentic content, and as a student as well as a social media employee, I was able to generate this type of "day in the life" tweets often.
Whenever I saw something I thought one of our target audiences would enjoy, I'd snap a photo and tweet it out, ensuring we had plenty of non-promotional tweets to balance out our marketing messages.
